Volunteer
The Mount Vernon Hospital volunteers enhance the atmosphere of caring, not only for the sick, but also for those to strive to preserve the hospital’s tradition of quality care. The services donated by volunteers complement the work of our staff and allow us to better serve the community.
Anyone interested in volunteering must meet these requirements:
- Interview with the Director of Volunteer Services.
- Complete the Volunteer Registration Form and Assignment Survey.
- Provide a completed medical clearance form. This form is supplied for completion by your physician. The hospital Employee Health Services must approve the completed form and it must be provided to the Director of Volunteers before an individual can begin his/her assignment.
- Attendance at an orientation and an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) infection control program. Both must be completed before service can begin.
Individuals between the ages of 14 and 17 who are interested in volunteering must provide a completed Parents Consent Form and a copy of working papers.
To learn more, contact the Director of Volunteer Services at (914) 664-8000 or info@tmvh.org.
