Body Mass Index -  Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of a person's weight relative to his or her height.  It does not measure the amount of fat or muscle a person is carrying, but is used to estimate healthy body weight.

A person weighing 300-pounds could have a very different body mass index depending on his or her height.

A person measuring 6-feet could have a very different body mass index depending on his or her weight.
